Thanks much for posting.

Questions:

Going to Spartan directly for handling problems. Are yours fixed?

I'm getting 6.3 mpg per dash readout. I do have to travel through mountains for 1/3rd of mileage and I drive 62 - 70 mph. Usually 65. Did mileage improve w/alignment fixes etc.?

"Leveling jacks left side higher than right when using automatic leveling-adjusted (recurred)" - I have same problem. Did you get a resolution?

"Microwave vent to outside rattles constantly-frix installed" - same problem. What was the fix? Did you do it yourself?

What are you going to do about toilet door? I have same problem. I'm expecting them to replace door. In my case the either the door is warped or the jam in not plumb.

Your help before my trip to Spartan and Newmar in February is greatly appreciated.

Hi Ronnie,
For the low water pressure problem, if it occurs when you are hooked up to city water, try removing your whole coach water filter. If the pressure improves, buy some waterfilters and replace them often.

Ron quite a list and you still love your Newmar.
I think I'll stick with my 4 year old coach, I sometimes think of a new one but time would run short if I had a list that long.
Hang in there you may almost have things complete but than again you could get a newer coach and start all over again.

Anytime you want some KARMA just let me know you deserve it.

Well now, I don't feel so bad about my '05. I've had a few things that needed attention, but, my list is short compaired to your's.

As far as mileage is concerned, at 19,000 miles on the engine, I'm averaging 8 mpg. The last fillup, earlier today after our return from a 6 day holiday weekend, was 8.14 mpg. I check the mileage manually- no trip computer. I generally cruise along at 62-63 mph. That's a little over 1700 rpms on my tach.

I only have 300 miles on the coach since getting it out of the shop, but here goes the update:
Mileage 7.4 on the dash readout...7.1 when calculated manually tack between 1600-1700 57 -60 mph. I have travelled all terrains from west coast to east coast, AZ, NV, UT, and Nv to Indiana.
Leveling jacks too soon to know. After last adjustment I leveled it in the parking lot of the service center and the L/F jack gushed hyd oil...jack to be replaced on Jan 30. I'm leveling manually right now.
Micro wave fix was installed at World Wide. the next 300 miles I drove I did not hear the rattle..so hopefully it is fixed. BRIAN AT Newmar service knows of the fix so contact him. Factory should do it while you are there.
BE SURE TO UpDATE PHIL STILLEY ON ANY ADDITIONAL WORK TO BE PERFORMED
I think the door is fixed by replumbing the frame and trim...at the factory in June they adjusted the hinges etc but that did not fix the problem...World Wide did the replumbing and the door did not open in the 300 miles I've driven which is a good sign.
Water pressure- I've tried replacing the filter, no filter, external filter and no improvement. Also removed my external pressure reducer..and the above mix and match and no improvement <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">Reply </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

I just turned 20,000 on my DS4320 and have had several small items since March when it was purchased and one major, a new cummins engine, but all is well and working now, even the KVH which took about five trips to factory and dealer and a change from Dish to Direct before they got it working correctly. I suspect I will by Newmar again, for a while it was frustrating and I was not sure. I'am now a happy camper.

I now have almost 20k miles or about 1500 since getting the unit out of the shop in Mesa. Coach is now at Manteca Trailer and RV a Newmar affiliate. An update on my 1 year report follows
Hydro Hot repair replacing the low coolant level sensor resolved that problem
Micro Wave rattle is there, but not as bad as it was. (I asked if they could just take the thing out)
Bathroom door opening during travel...fixed
Auto leveling system...I'm still not happy even parking on a slight angle (less than 5 degrees) the front wheels are off the ground by 2 inches.
Keyless entry...intermittent especially in cold/wet conditions
Generator slide will not open...latches to be broken and then replaced (3 techs could not get it opened so braking the latches I'm told is
the only option)
2 stress cracks below the right corner of the windshield...to be repaired ( I asked the service writer to have techs check the alignment of the generator slide and determine
if the right side is higher than the left and putting pressure on the front cap below the windshield where the stress cracks are located...could also be the cause of slide not releasing)
Slide toppers bubbling and peeling finish...to be repaired
Air filter intake hose cuts and wear...gusset was reworked and hose is to be repaired

I think that is the end of my list...
