2006 Essex 4508 refrigerator

Does anyone have experience in removing the refrigerator from it's cabinet to access the rear for repair?

I've watched several videos on refer repair and upgrading to residential. It's a really big job but fairly straight forward. Here is a video of someone working on their DS.

I had mine replaced by a shop, so I did not do the work myself. But I think everything starts at the top. There is a brace up there that needs to be removed.

Electric or Propane?

I have an electric and have moved it in and out to repair a slow leak with the ice maker water line. Straight forward - remove screws and brackets I built a step/stand that was the same height as the base. Rolled right out. Most likely you will need to take doors off also so you can get out all the way into the hallway. Once this is done, you can slide towards the front or back of the coach to gain better access.

I have 2006 Essex 4508 with a Frigidaire Homestyle 110V, that is surrounded by cabinets on both sides and and the wall for the half bath is directly across and there is only 26 1/2". My concern is without doors will it fit in the hall to move forward to work on it?

Be confident that the motorhome was not built around the refrigerator. My refrigerator has been serviced and then replaced. I'm sure the doors have to come off.

I just checked the specs on my new Frigidaire. It shows a depth of 23 7/8s with the doors off.

You have a similar floor plan and refrigerator in that area as I do. Yes it will come out with about and inch or so of clearance. However, doors must come off first and you will need some type of platform to roll it out onto. May have to remove the tow narrow pantry doors across the aisle.

When you take off the bottom grill and look it will all make sense. Note: there are screws and brackets that keep it in place that will need to be removed along with electric and water feeds to the one door. For safety - turn ice maker water feed off. Located under sink. Tee valve.

Not complicated just time consuming.
