I have a question about my drivers side slide. The coach is new to us & we're just getting familiar with the various components & features.

I noticed the manual locking slide arm towards the back rattles when walking near the corner. I checked & all bolts, etc. are tight however, the notch where the catch slides has play. I used some grease to help take up the play. It helped, but still rattles now & then! It seems the pin should have a plastic sleeve or something. Has anyone had this problem?

The next question is about the slide level. I noticed the slide is not completely level. I checked the top of the slide & there is about a 3/4" gap between the slide & wall, other slides are flush with the wall. If I adjusted the slide down is would level it! The factory said to adjust the saddle adjustment, has anyone done this adjustment? My last question is about the flat floor. I noticed if you lift the edge of the carpet there is a gap between the slide floor & sub floor, is this normal?

Thanks for any info, just trying to learn what is normal & what is a potential problem with the new coach.

The locking arm can be removed and the locking knuckle lightly tapped with a hammer to close the knuckle, it has a ball baring in it so it will lock when slide is closed.
The saddles require crawling into compartment they are in middle of floor area.
The gap may change when slide is adjusted but the rug is there to cover it as it now does.
I would leave the adjustment up to Newmar when you ever visit the factory, in QT's 1 & 2 there is instructions for adjusting slides and in the links in my signature below are many more instructions for your Newmar.
