2006 slideout jacksaft

This question is about a 2006 Dutch Star passenger side slide jack shaft. The master link on the rear cog drive Jack shaft has broken a couple times. In order to see in there I had to put a hole in the bottom of my kitchen sink cabinet to see down inside. It appears that the jetshaft has slid forward about 2". Hard to tell if it is ready to come out of the rear bering cause I can't see in Well enough. If anyone has work on this problem would love to know if there's a better way to access this area.
