Good question I'm not sure if mine is even working now, I guess I'll have to check that out.

After my 450 miles over the weekend, I have a much better understanding and appreciation for how the jake brakes work. I 1st thought they were activated by the brakes because I hit the brake to release the cruise control, they started working. I discovered they are actually activated by releasing the accelerator pedal.
Now I just have to pay attention to the little signs that say no engine braking at the edge of nearly every town. I came into one town yesterday and there was a LEO sitting directly across the street from the sign.

I found this fuse box this AM. The fuses don't appear to be identified other than a number (F?) and I can't find a diagram for this fuse box in any of my stuff, or the 12V diagrams 007 posted on another thread. I may call Newmar and see if they can help me.

Scotty, look on the inside of the cover the fuse# and fuse size should be written there.

In my defense, I was in a hurry to go to work this AM, and didn't bother looking inside the cover. Thanks for that helpful hint.

That's the same thing DW says to me every morning.
I did go back and look at the cover (after coming home from work). No luck. There is mention of L & R trailer brake/stop lights, but no dedicated fuse for 12V charging. I will make a call to Newmar tomorrow and see what they can tell me.

Im surprised the fuse diagram isn't in the cover.....Remind us of what model MH you have??? One of us may have a similar model and can take a photo our our fuse cover.

Sorry about the confusion. The diagram is indeed in the cover. However, the fuse for the 12V charge wire is not in that box. The L&R trailer stop/turn fuses are.
New information. I called Newmar who then transferred me directly to Spartan. A very nice fellow named Charlie pulled up information that led me to the right place. The charge wire comes off the chassis batteries. It is one of 4 small wires coming off the chassis batteries. It has an inline fuse holder 30A, and a tag on it that says "Trailer 12V Charging". The fuse was blown, and I replaced it. Now I have an active #4 pole on my 7-pole plug. Problem solved.

Automatic Steps
My steps look and sound like they need some lubrication. I thought my steps were Kwikee steps, but I have looked in the QT's, and the Kwikee steps don't look like the same steps as mine. There are no tags or markings that i can find. Does anybody know what they are, if there is a O&M for them, and what do you use to keep them lubricated?
