2008 Essex all elec. ???

All electric is new to me so I am still learning what is normal and what is not. Had some trouble with my inverter which I am still not sure is gone. Now my question is with 8 batteries how long will refrigerater run off batteries when parked and no other power source is available. I know this could depend on how many items are drawing juice. But for the sake of keeping it simple what can I expect if everything is off but the frig? Just trying to get an idea of what to expect. How long are you getting on batteries only. Once again thanks a ton for all the replies. I can't thank people enough for what I have been able to learn off this forum.

Take care

8 GOOD batteries, probably 2 days or more.

This are ways to approximate it but lots more info needed.

Like Twinboat said ... maybe 2 days.

You'd need to actually have running and start amps over time to figure it out. Then you would need to know the combined amp rating on the batteries. Then you need to know all the parasitic draw (the stuff that is running that you didn't know about)

Or .... fully charge the bats, run (just) the reefer for 8 hrs. and check the charge percentage remaining. Another guess but close enough.

There's a voltage vs. charge percentage table/graph .... handy to have. Keep the discharge in the green and preferably the upper green.

I concur. I actually ran a draw down test (non-scientific) on mine after upgrading to 8 batteries. It went 44 hours before I hit 50%. I didn't unplug TV's, turn off breakers, pull fuses, or do anything unreasonable to stop parasitic draws. Then I realized that my Dometic Outdoor was still running on 12V, so part of the usage was for that too. I didn't have time to duplicate the test w/o the Dometic. I would say that my Samsung could easily go 48 hours on 8 batteries. My goal was 24 hours under normal use.

Wow I think mine are shot. My batteries are 4 years old and dropped to 50 percent in four hours. Time to look at replacement cost. Anyone know what agm average cost is? Thanks

Lifeline AGM's are around $300. Trojan T-105's $140.
