Is this a gas or Diesel? If gas it is way too high. If diesel it is probably about $20-30K too high.

I have been shopping too. That seems like a fair price, dealer or private? Not that much difference for an Essex which has the better looking roof line...

Age of tires and batteries? Need to know if you have these expenses soon to come and impact purchase price.

I have a 2007 MADP 4528 and have been happy.
Essex's of that vintage have a fatal flaw, E- Plex. Also more interior storage in Mountain Aires, cabinets above the windows, which Essex do not have due to taller windows.
Stay with the Mountain Aire. Good Luck with your offer!

I feel it's a fair price. We bought a 2008 Mountain Aire in June, same miles, one owner, brand new tires and all services done for 175.

I don't think its unreasonable to reduce the price for batteries, tires and "reset" services on the Cummins, Allison and Onan.
