2008 Ventana production
I'm in the market for a higher quality entry-level diesel pusher and have been looking at the small Ventanas for several years. Spent a while working for Cummins and Onan, so I know their products well.
Are there production numbers available for the particular models? I am looking to buy a used 3332, or even a 3330, but there seems to be few available. Just curious as to why. Hoping it is an indication of owner satisfaction, rather than plain lack of availability.
Also why do a few that I have found for sale supposedly have the ISB at 300 hp, while others have the ISBXT at 350 hp. The factory brochure states ISBXT. Early vs late production?

Hi Air Baron,
Welcome to iRV2 and the Newmar Owner's forum. Gut feel says you are correct. The real early production coaches have the previous year's chassis and engine.

Due to the ecomony Newmar had very low production numbers for 2008. It might be easier to find a 2009.

Air Baron,
By the way - I have thousands of hours flying Beech Barons. Does you "handle" have anything to do with them?

No...although my father flew The Hump in WWII and we had a Stinson Voyager when I grew up, I never had a desire to get my license. I was a ground crew member of the US Navy Air Barons flight demonstration team.

Air Baron,
Cannot answer the production number question but we have an 08 3330 Ventana and love it. We have also talked to a number of other owners and we all seem to like our "short" coaches. Ours has the ISBXT 350. I believe the ISB 300 was installed in some of the early 08 production run.
Good luck with your search.
Jeff

Welcome Air Baron to the Newmar forum & irv2.
Newmar builds coach's on what a customer orders for floor model, engine size or options and during that time period everything did slow down.
If you go to the COM_NET link in Quick Tips you can find all models & owners manuals for added information and Tech bulletins.
Enjoy the forum.
