2008 VTDP water pump question
When hooked to city water, whenever I demand water from a faucet, the pump turns on and water is taken from the freshwater tank (exactly as if dry camping). I am unable to turn the water pump off with the switch in the wet bay or the wall switch in the bathroom. It always runs when water is demanded no matter if a hose is connected or not.
This same issue causes me to be unable to fill the freshwater tank unless I turn off the deadman switch (only way to kill power to the pump). Otherwise, As soon as I turn the gate valve to allow water to fill the tank the pump starts running.
I read somewhere there is a small water pump control module but I cannot find it anywhere? Both water pump switches test fine for continuity...

IDK about 2008. Our 2016 has the switching panels with a momentary switch and little green LED which lights up when you have toggled the controller to the ON position. These switches all go to the WPC110 controller which is in the wetbay. The controller performs the ON or OFF by controlling the ground wire on the water pump. You might look behind the panel to find the pump, and see where the wires go. If you habe this type of controller your 12vdc+ wire will go to a fuse panel. Your 12vdc- (ground) will go to the pump controller you are looking for.

This may sound like a stupid question but most RVs have two or more places with pump switches. Usually one is in the kitchen and the other in a bathroom. So have you checked to see if they're all off? If they are, then I'd test the switches to make sure they're working properly. It may be something as simple as that.

I see the pump and followed the wire to the on/off switch in the wet bay just can’t seem to find the darn controller. I’ll check again this weekend. Thanks for the reply!

If the pump went directly to a switch...and not a controller AND your coach only has two locations to activate the pump...you probably don't have the controller I spoke about. The controller is used in installations where you have three or more control switch locations. Example...I have a switch in the rear bathroom, mid bath, kitchen, wet bay, and added one in the generator bay. The controller allows you to add any number of switches...as it only needs a single wire to the momentary switch and the switch connected to a frame ground.
If you only have two switches...they may be wired like a three way switch in a house...and if the wires get connected wrong, control of the pump might be in error.

Kaw808, I thought 2008 VTDPs also had a switch in the panel above the driver. In our 03, we had to power down all the switches, any one on, and all were on. It wasn't designed that way, but I think there was some handi-man work done to it along it's journey to us. Also, if you are using city water for a while, use the deadman switch, or circuit breaker to turn the pump off and use the water as needed, including filling the tank before disconnecting from the city source.
