The new models are usually announced at the FMCA show, which is in about 4 weeks.
The new models can usually be ordered around April, and last years models are cut off around the same time.
I don't think there is a fixed date.

FMCA is the Family Motor Coach Assoc.
This years convention is in Pomona, CA.
IMHO, the end of February is a little early for Newmar to have the new coaches ready. It's usually March when the new models debut.

So is the FMCA Show a good one to attend if your looking at buying a new coach from a decision making perspective? I pretty much have narrowed it down to the KS 3943, but want to make sure before I pull the trigger.

The FMCA twice yearly International Conventions are the ones to attend to see many motorhomes.
Last years March convention in Perry, GA had the introduction of the 2008 Newmar diesels, but the Newmar gassers were not ready to be introduced.
IMHO, it's still too early to see the 2009's.
I'm not sure if you can learn ahead of time what models will be on display.

According to Newmar, they will be announcing them at this show. At least that is what corporate communicated to me as far as the timeline for announcing them - with availability to order in March.

That's great!
Now, we need someone to volunteer to take pictures of the new models, especially the new Dutch Star, which is completely redesigned.

Pfft stop making me think about waiting a month to order our DS with tantalizing bits like that!
Order now and deal with what we get
Order later and possible get something really cool or just end up paying more for an 09
On a side note, with all the turbulence in the RV industry I hope Newmar doesn't end up pricing themselves out of existence. In the past its usually the middle market that gets hit the hardest which is where they are pretty firmly entrenched.

According to Newmar VP John Sammut, the '09 DSDP is being redesigned to more appropriately match it's price point. He didn't mention anything in particular, and he say the price increase would be in the 3% range.

I would second the idea about some pictures, and I am interested in changes in the Kountry Star.

They usually debut at the FMCA "spring" convention in March, but the FMCA convention is early this year, at the end of February.
