2010 Ventana 4333 engine

Hello again, I have a question about the engine size and weight
GVRW is approx 44,000 pounds I believe
Engine is Cummins 360hp
My question is for owners that have engaged new and size
We are wanting to do extensive travel through the mountains
Is this engine to weight ratio going to give me any troubles going up
Are you happy with the Ventana and engine size?

I have a Ventana 3933 with a 350 Cummins. I have no problems in mountains. On a very long steep grade it will slow down but not terrible. If I start the grade at 55 mph it will struggle. If I speed up to 70 before the grade it holds pretty good.

Also have a 2010 Ventana 3961 with 350 Cummins ISB. Have had trouble with the turbo (had to replace it just this month) but when the turbo is working fine we pull mountains well enough, get passed by some semis, pass others. Would be worth having your engine totally checked out before hitting the Rockies or Cascades.

It'll get you there, but slowly.
Our '02 DSDP weighed 34,000 with 4,400 more for the Ody and had the ISC 350/1050, put a Banks kit on it for 435/1200 and it did better but still slowed down on the passes. Even then it was better than most of the trucks

We have a 2012 Ventana 4333 with ISC 380/1050. We live in the Canadian Rockies and tow a 1500 Silverado.
We do slow down a bit on long steep climbs. Gear down to keep the RPM above 2000 and enjoy the trip.

We have a '11 3962 with a 350hp motor with a 06 Honda CRV in tow. We generally bog down to about 41 mph going up grades and if behind a truck that is going any slower we have very little power to pass. We live in Oregon with the Cascade and Coast ranges and have traveled across the Rockies. We like our coach but sure don't enjoy the lack of power that we have. One to two years we are looking to trade up and at this point it will probably be a MA or a LA due to engine.
