2011 Bay Star 3302, looking to buy, need opinions

Looking at buying a 2011 Bay Star 3302 with 14,000 miles, priced at $75,000 which seems high to me.

What are your experiences and opinions of this coach?

I have owned a Born Free and a Winnebago, so I have some MH experience.

Thanks

I live near the Newmar factory and that is one of the reasons for looking at Newmars. I did the factory tour last week and was impressed with the quality of construction.

I can't speak to that individual Bay Star you're looking at, but you can use the NADA price guide for the 2011 3302 and combine it with the options (vs. standard features). The 2011 brochure lists the options vs standards and you can use that to price estimate in the NADA tool.

As with any used coach, the maintenance and upkeep are the biggest factors. (Mold, mildew, water leaks, excessing fading, roof seams in poor shape, etc.) Of course flooding like this (last week in Palm Harbor, FL) would be very bad too!

(Apologies for not citing the source - one of the local news stations down here I believe; if anyone does know, tell me and I'll cite them)

You can't beat the Newmar quality, and being so close to the factory is a plus for any type of work needed. As to the price, there were a few dealers selling the 2015 model between $105k-$110k, so you have to decide if it is in top shape, the mileage is nothing, and is a $30k-$35K difference in price good to you. Newmars do tend to hold their value if well maintained.

I would check the NCC for that MH, as I think when we were looking it was a little low for my liking. In 2015 Newmar started putting them on the bigger chassis with 22.5 wheels, which significantly increases the NCC, and overall handling/ride.
