2012 Basement Door Latches

I have a 2012 Mountain Aire, and two of the latch assemblies on the basement storage doors have broken because the doors sag and the latch is misaligned to the striker when you slam the door shut.
Does anyone out there know the manufacturer and model number of the latches that Newmar used in that model year?
Also, I seem to remember that someone had located a guide that would align the door as it was shut, and prevent this from happening. Does anyone have a part number for such a piece?

Newmar had an issue with this - my buddy Paul R has a 2012 MADP- and they came up with a add on door alignment guide to correct this sagging issue. Call Newmar Parts Dept. & ask Jeannie- she'll remember it.

Beach Aire --- I thing the post you were referencing is this one http://www.irv2.com/forums/f103/stor...ers-285815.html
I made a replacement out of Starboard as Newmar wanted about $50 for their piece of plastic.

I also own a 2012 Newmar MA and had a similiar problem. It was the door that opens for all the plumbing stuff, water and sewer valves. Discovered there was a screw that had the head broken and no longer supported the door and would let it drop down somewhat. Had to take a set of small channel locks to back the screw out that was exposed between the door on side. It was a (think) #10 aluminum screw that has very little tensile strength. Went to hardware store and bought one of higher grade and put back in. Raised the door by hand as the screw was put in and now the door works just fine. I can photo the location if you think this may be your problem as well. Good luck on the fix.
