It’s either a 600 hp or a 650 hp not 605hp
Like Tom said above….careful if it’s a 650hp isx….which was a cm871 engine….if it’s a 600 hp cm870,the engine is likely ok……..if it’s the 650hp cm871,and if the heads, rings etc haven’t been updated, then as a preventative measure you can plan on spending ballpark 20k,if you let it go it’s only a matter of time before a valve breaks which then damages other components and most report spending around 40k at that point…..once the update is done to the 650 isx, they seem to be fine…..that vintage of coach would not have the x15 605 h.p. So it’s very important in my opinion to determine which engine it has…if there is any doubt, enter the v.I.n. Into the Cummins site,or simply call Cummins with the vin…..other than the engine question that vintage should be a great coach….good luck….
