2012 MADP Satellite Antenna Questions
Can anyone tell me where the satellite wiring terminates in a 2012 MADP? There is only a single coax from what appears to be a Roadtrip dish on roof but I don't know where it goes inside the coach. Are all the TVs connected somehow and where are their cables routed? Sorry for the general questions but looking a buying this coach and need to know if it's going to be a royal PITA to get TVs all working with SAT antenna. TIA

Can’t help with that model, but check in the basement for a splitter. It would feed back to each tv location.
It could also be located near where your main tv is located too, but doubt it.
It could be mounted on the rails near the ceiling of your basement. Hopefully, the coach is empty.
If it is set up for park cable, you should be able to trace that line too.

Thanks for that - didn't think about them being in the basement! I'll look there more when I go back for next inspection.

It's been a while, but if I recall, on my 2014 DS, there was a splitter on the roof at the satellite that sent one coax line to the front of the coach and one to the bedroom. That allowed for the use of two receivers, one for the upfront TV(s) and one for the bedroom TV. It wasn't until 2019 in the DS that one satellite feed connected all TV's.
The satellite feed (coax) comes down to the TV connections cabinet, which is probably above the driver's seat. Back then, Newmar used HDMI powered splitters in that cabinet to send the HDMI signal to the upfront TV(s), DVD and if it has one, the outside TV.
Some options if you don't want to run two receivers; On my 2014 DS, I put a wireless HDMI unit in in that front cabinet and sent the signal wirelessly to the rear bedroom. The only issue, you have to watch the same thing on both TV's.

Thanks for that Don. I've got a few ideas where to look now and what to look for. This is going to be a whole new world figuring this beast out after 11 years in the Dynasty!

Don’s memory will get you closer than my guess.
Sounds like you have a Sat already. Otherwise, you not be asking.
Not to sway you as I have Sat/Dish and am happy with it, but I would look at Star Link.
Lots of threads on the subject and most feel it’s worth it.
We’re not ready to make the switch but will consider it on the next rv.
Amazon is also launching their version of Star Link so maybe pricing will come down.

We currently have Dish but I'm not sure what is actually on the coach yet. Will more throughly investigate on next inspection.
I actually got Starlink last year but the speed here in the SE US kept dropping as more folks were added. Last I checked we are still in limited area unlike the west coast. It had dropped below my crappy DSL at peak times so I sold it. Might get another but in the meantime T-Mobile home internet has been a rockstar for 1/3 the price.
YouTube TV is a distinct possibility vs Dish if it's to much work to put a new dish on the roof.
Thanks for the reply.
