2013 dutchstar 4318

Took delivery of our 2013 DS 4318 in Dec of 2012,reported to this forum on replacing the U Shaped sofa with an queen size air bed sofa, changed out the DW for an oven and some other minor changes at the dealership,we finally got out on our maiden voyage this past week.We found out that the 1/2 bath sink isnt very practical,in terms of using the sink for its intended purpose. The wall corner cabinet sticks out too far from the wall, covering 80% of the sink,so you cant get your head over it to wash your face or brush your teeth.Just wondering if any others of you have discovered this problem?? Poor design on Newmars behalf and I have advised of same.
Other than that,we enjoyed the MH, even with the small problems that come with buying a new unit.

I only use that one for washing my hands. It's my wife's bathroom, so I stay out.

Thanks for your reply, could you measure how far the cabinet sticks out over the sink from the corner of the wall in your MH,so I can compare to mine?
Thanks
Bruce

Ours runs right through the middle of the sink. About 10-11 inches. I always hit my head on the cabinet that holds the breaker panel. Every time I lift the toilet seat. You would think I'd learn by now, but no.

The wife does her morning stuff in there, so I've never used it for anything but hand washing.

A friend had the same situation. He removed the wood above the cabinet and moved the cabinet up. It was a diy project with a little help from Newmar. We also put two ceiling lights above the mirror for added light on the sink. I thought it turned out great.

Thankyou PDR for taking and posting that measurement. The 1/2 bath is
my bathroom and this situation was a complete surprise to me.We had 2 wash basins in our previous 08 DS 4320,didnt have this problem with either location.I feel that all features in a MH should be practical/useable,not 1/2 useable or just for looks!! I am surprised that for as long as Newmar have been building MH's,that a design flaw such as this would occur!!??
