Does the F-53 chassis have a 12 volt charge line run to the 7 pin connector at back of Rv
For charging tow car ?

None on my 2016 CS but problem solved by using the 12 volt generator line. Easily accessible to add a line on the terminal stud for the generator.

On my 2014 CS there was a wire that was run but not hooked up. The wire runs from under the dash on left of steering wheel. It is not connected but is marked. In the same area there is a fuse terminal strip that the wire can be connected to and fused.

At the other end the wire is terminated near the plug and is labeled - just need to connect to plug.

Exclamation

Thanks to all with the quick replays, could not find and power wires so they ran new wire from battery to hitch connector and fused it .

Cheers

The question of the ages.......

When we bought our new 2017 CS - I had soooo many conflicting stories that there was a charging line - there wan't a charging line......yes there is a line bit "not hooked up"....who to believe?

So I wrote Newmar customer service and asked if there was one and if they could run one for me if not there?

The answer came back as no line and they'd run a line to the 7 pin plug for me.

I had my Ford dealer who services the motor home run one.

Good luck,

g

Hmm... the wires are likely there:

and for a Bay Star, same thing:

Interesting that the manufacturer doesn't know about something that's been in his gas coaches since 2006-7.

My 2005 has the same two wires ending near the 7 way. I've not looked for the other end but suspect they are under the dash somewhere.

Exclamation Charge line

Yea it came down to spend $135.00 / hr in labour to try to find the charge line at back of RV and the fuse assembly under dash that maybe Newmar ran or Ford, and get it wired right etc . VS ......just run a new wire and fuse right from the battery to pin 7 on connector . It only took them 1 hr to run line wire and test as well as $50.00 in wire and fuse block, wire ties etc.

You would think Newmar would just complete the pin 7 wiring and leave it at that , as maybe 50 % of RV,s tow a car ....😳
