2015 4369 Dutch Star kitchen slide problem

On our way back from Florida, go to put out kitchen slide and it appears that the auto lock on the front edge of the slide is stuck and will not allow the slide to go out. Donít want to mess with it while traveling but once I get home where is the first place I should look. Any help appreciated

Not an expert here but I have removed two of my slide lock mechanism's and reinstalled so I have a basic understanding. First issue I had was the exact same position as you are describing (Kitchen slide) but mine was minor. The bearing in the top piece failed & when slide came in the BB's came rolling off the top of the slide on to the passenger seat. Slide lock didn't want to function properly to let slide out until I replaced bearing. That was the easy one. Last year my bedroom slide lock on bedroom didn't allow the slide to come in & I ruined the drive motor. That slide lock had to be completely removed including top piece, connecting rod through slide, and bottom mechanism. Top piece was defective or became bent & essentially froze. Replaced ($270) Last pic is diagram. Looks complicated but is very simple & can be removed to replace a bad component in maybe 5 min. Best of luck to ya!

Quick question, I see two bolts one on each side of the lock on to-p, is that where I start, by releasing them?

Thanks so much for your help, got me going in the right direction. As you can see the bearing ring is destroyed, will be ordering another, meanwhile slide is out and, all is well

Excellent! Glad it was an easy fix. Just in case you have any trouble finding the bearing, I struck out at all the hardware stores, mine came from here https://www.ibtinc.com/
