2015 DS Air Dryer change procedure

In changing the air dryer filter does it make it any easier if the tag tire is removed first? Will this help getting to the dryer or just extra work that's not necessary?
Probably won't try it myself but not sure how many RVs the independent diesel shop works on so maybe a suggestion or two from me would make it easier for the tech.
I'm going to print off Don's very good description on the change procedure from back in 2018for the shop but wondered about the tag removal first.

P.S. Is this a Bendix unit, and would anyone by chance know the replacement filter number? Or will I just need to call Freightliner for that information?

If the 2015 is the same as my 2014, it's a Bendix that uses a cartridge. My new coach uses a spin on filter. The problem with the old design, there isn't enough room to remove the cover and take out the canister. The entire dryer has to be removed and serviced on the bench. Removing the tag axle won't help the issue.

Thanks Don. Just thought maybe since the air dryer is up between the drive wheels and the tag wheel getting either of the two out of the way would give access from the side rather than from underneath. And figured the tag wheel would be the easiest.

After doing some more lubing under front and rear I decided no way could I attempt the air dryer. Not even sure I can do the rear axle fluid change any more, and that was the easiest of all those down/under jobs for me.
