2015 Dutch Star 4018 vs 2017 Dutch Star 3736

Here I am again seeking advice! lol! I am looking at a 2015 Dutch Star 4018 w/ tag axle with 35k miles and a 2017 Dutch Star 3736 with 36k miles. I'm leaning towards the tag axle but would like to hear from you guys. the shorter coach does have it's draw but don't really think 2 ft is that big a deal. Thanks

2015 is a good year.
So is 2017.

2017 will have full tile, no carpet. Probably the same storage space as 2015 since the tag takes up storage space.

I would look closer at condition, maintenance records, and options.

Tag. Go with the tag. All other things being equal. The couple feet of length really doesnt matter.

Imho.

Our friends have the 15 4018 and we have a 17 3736. They are near identical except a larger bedroom. The changes between the years are not extreme, but noticeable. The 3736 drives awesome, they say 4018 drives smooth and they seem to think it handles the wind better although we never feel the wind in ours and we have been in substantial cross wind. I would just pick the one my wife wants, much easier. You also need to consider the cost of tires on the 15, because they will be due, it was likely built in 2014.

Now that I've owned a tag for 10 years I won't ever buy a MH without one. They drive so much nicer in windy conditions. Plus I like the idea of the added stopping power of two additional tires.
