2016 CS dash glare is so bad I can't see mirrors to backup when sunny
Not limited to CS I'm sure. My 2016 CS light tan dash glare is so bad I can't see mirrors to backup when sunny. Has anyone done anything to help with this? Was thinking maybe a dark dash cover would reduce the glare?

There are a few things. First you can make a dash cover or buy one. There are a few custom manufacturers of dash covers. I can't remember the names but you can see their ads in Motorhome or Family Motor Coach Mag.
If it's only something that you need once in a while then a simple cure is a fabric you can lay in place til you're backed in. Above all don't treat the dash with anything that will leave a shiny finish such as Armor All or Aerospace 303 etc.

Perhaps a big beach towel when those situations arise would work too.

On our 2017 DS the glare is not from the dash but reflections on the side window from the opposite side of coach outside. We heard one solution was a black poster board that is angled from the front corner of the driver side window to the side of the dash (you would be looking at the edge instead of the face of the board).
It is very dangerous trying to use that mirror even at night!

I agree and should have said this also. It is for sure the windows as well. Not quite sure I follow the location of the board. I wonder of the high mounted bus mirrors are better not that I could change.

Confirmed.... it's a big problem for us. Got a black dash mat and it helps in many situations. But still going to try the poster board as the inside of the windshield is also a source of reflection in other cases.

Whole dash top surface (which is light cream colour) is covered with black felt plus the angled matt black piece of cardboard, plus the defrost fan on the passengers side is wrapped in the black felt. Can't understand designers putting form so far ahead of function to the point of designing a hazard in. Cream carpet in an apartment is rarely practical but at least it isn't dangerous.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one, I find this very unnerving, I can back up anything if I can see. There are times when I have almost no visibility. I wear glasses and always pay for the anti-glare coating, I wish there was a tint that had these same anti-glare properties that could be applied.

Have the same issue with reflections off passenger window, but the cause is dual pane windows and finally resorted to moving the outside mirror forward so I am looking at the mirror thru the windshield instead of the side window..

Ours was horrible. I kept a blanket handy to cover it. I have had a dash mat for years how. A gentle gray color works great. Our fur babies love to jump up there when stopped so it tended to slide a bit even with velcro on the back. Velcro seems to get gluey and stops sticking. I finally installed a few snaps and it holds like it is glued down now.

I just lower my solar shade before backing up.

For some reason, I have never seen this issue, and hope I don't. Guess beach towel would be the quickest.
