2016 Ventana 4369 weights

So I am officially done even considering 2016 DS 4369, with the band aid fix or not, it is off my list due to front axle weight issues. The 2105 DS stock is limited, and the DW really likes the 4369 model with the two recliners and dinette. I just want to fill up the fuel tank, have at least 1/2 of water tank and carry four adults with some stuff. Does anyone have the full weight report from Newmar on this model they are willing to share.

Jon,

I tried a site search for 2016 VTDP 4369 and didn't get any leads.

Is it possible that your dealer has sold any of these. They may be able to contact the customer to see if they are willing to help.

Just a thought...hopefully someone will have your answer.

Found one in New Jersey at Dylans RV

#1781627 - New Diesel Pusher - 2016 Newmar Ventana 4369

WE have been to this dealer before and although we did not purchase from Dylans they have a very good sales rep there. His name is Mark Razler. If you call him he might be able to help.

Hi Jon,

North Trails in Florida also has a 2016 Ventana 4369 (unit 9045) with the dual recliners.

They also have a couple of new 2015's with dual recliners:
2015 Ventana 4360 (8515)
2015 Dutchstar 4369 (8755)

regards,

Gary

Hi Jon,

You can also check with Mark Starner at Independence RV in Orlando. They have a new 2016 Ventana 4369 with dual recliners (unit 8694). They also have 2 2015 4369s with the recliners.

Regards,

Gary

Maybe this is something you already do but...

When ever I have had interest in a coach I have the sales person send me a picture of the weight sticker and price sticker. From there, with what we have learned, if you are having some interest in the coach get them to provide the actual dry weights from Newmar.

Good Luck!

Was able to get the Newmar post production weight report on a 2016 Ventana 4369:

Here is what it says:
Scale Weight : 36,250
Dry Weight: 36,015 (delta of 235 lbs, say 30 gal of fuel)
Front Axle:12,810 [14,000] {91.5% of limit}
Drive Axle: 15,650 [20,000] {78.25% of limit}
Tag Axle: 7,790 [10,000] {77.2% of limit}
UVW: 36,715 (with calculated full tank) [44,000] {83% of limit}

So on face value the NCC is 7,285 for people and stuff.

So the concern is still the front axle as most limiting as here is what my thinking is:

Take the Scale weight on front axle 12,810 and add in what the loading would be with a full fuel load (since the scale weight is assumed with 30 Gals of fuel (difference between scale and dry weight) which is another 490 pounds (70 gals * 7) gives you a fron axle loading of 13,300 assuming all of the fuel weight is on the front axle. add two folks at say 400 pounds all at the front axle, and now I am at 13,700 without adding any stuff.

This quick simple math says I am in the same situation as the DS with little margin before I overload the front axle. So what am I doing wrong? I know that some of the weight would also be carried by the drive and tag, but with the fuel and people being right over the front axle, seems like a very high percentage would be foward? Even if only 80% of the added weight was on the front from fuel and passengers (890 x .80= 712) I am still around 13,522# on the front axle before I load on my stuff.

Am I looking at this wrong, am I worrying about this too much. My Nuclear Engineering training says this is an issue and not all that different from the problems with the 2016 DS front axle that shows from the factory the front axle is at 91.12% of limit (15,500 on 17,000 limit) and when you add fuel.....

Glad I am learning all of this but it sure is making the decision much more complex as to what to purchase.

Please point out any errors in my thinking, tell me I have this all wrong and there is nothing to worry about because.....

FWIW, my front axle load is 12,520 lbs loaded. That is with full fuel, water and our stuff. We are fully electric with 8 batteries, but we probably have less weight at the front because we only have one slide not two as the 4369 does.

The driver and passengers sit slightly in front of of the axle.

Well your calculations have wiggle room.

To know for sure all tanks full, then to scale.

to guess what part of the weight is shifted to the rear may be skewing the numbers

That is the only way to know for sure, and I was planning to order a unit so I could customize it but there is no way I an going to risk the $$$ to find out as other folks have been surprised as they drive their brand new purchase to the scales.

I am hoping maybe someone has done it or will do it now that the issue has been brought up?

Off to consider other options, looks to me the the 4369 model is a No GO for me, too mush risk with little reward....

Jon, I agree I wouldn't buy that model either.

But there are many others I sure can fill those shoes w/o the weight issues.

I have been following your other threads about the front axle weights on the 4369 floor plan. May I suggest you take a look at the DS 4018 or the VT 4037. Both have identical floorplans to the 4369, just with a smaller master bath.

You still have a TAG but by dropping that three extra feet, you'll likely avoid the front axle loading problems of the 43' models. On our 2015 VT 4037, we are WELL below the max front axle GVWR when fully loaded, full fuel, full water.

Steer axle: 11780 (14000 GVWR)
Drive axle: 16420 (20000 GVWR)
TAG axle: 7240 (10000 GVWR)

Even with the extra weight of the 2016 STAR chassis, the 2016 VT 4037 should have no front axle weight issues.

Our 2012 Ventana 4333 with full fuel and water, lots of stuff for 2 month holiday, plus 2 adults has a front axle weight of 13,055 lbs (14,000 front axle)

We weigh in a at over a 1,000 lbs more than Newmarpusher's full wall slide 40' model. That 3 feet really seems to add the weight.
