2017 Canyon Star Help

I need some help.......Hahahahaha - That's nothing new....

I winterized our new rig today and I am a little embarrassed to ask this but here goes:

What size socket do I need to remove the drain plug from my 10 gallon Atwood Water Heater?

The largest socket I have is a 13/16th and it is too small....

And.......

Anyone know the part number for the Whole House water filter?

I tried to look the socket size up in the "Manual" that came with the rig - not in there - and the instructions to the water heater....not there either!

My old DS had the required water filter cartridge number on the water filer housing - not this motor home. It is probably a common size I can get at Campers World but thought I'd ask here.

Thanks in advance for your help....

Glenn

I think the socket is 1 1/16. You can get the filter at Lowes take the old one with you. You probably don't remember but met you and DW and dog at Camp Newmar last April.

Sure do remember you.....how are things gong??

When we saw you last April "I" had no plans on a new motor home but the wife had other plans!!! Hahahaha You know what they say - "Happy wife, happy life!!" Hahaha

We spent a couple weeks down the road from you at Anchor Down RV Resort in Dandridge last August. Beautiful camp ground on Lake Douglas with a stunning view of the Smokies and "away" from the crowds but close enough to visit the tourist areas.

Thanks for the help with the size of the socket.......and water filter cartridge.

I am surprised the cartridge information is not listed the outside of the filter.....???

Thanks to all who responded.......

Glenn
