2017 DSDP 4018: help finding basement bin dimensions
I tried searching and could not find - the basement bin dimensions (of the ones available for storage) for the 2017 DSDP 4018 without the freezer/cooler thingie :-) So I get two half-basements and one full...
Ideas on where to look?
We are executing our plan to transition to FT (placing S&B on market, placing DSDP order, & contracting with estate sale company) and I wanted to be able to have a closer idea of which stuff we will have room to keep, because everything else will be sold at estate sale. I'd rather not give up favorites or re-buy down the road.
TIA -

Only two ways I know to get that info - Call the Factory and ask - 0r go to a show/dealer and measure.
BUT IMHO you will haul around way too much when you move in - just don't need all that stuff.

You won't be able to bring much, esp. bigger items. We have a 2016 DSDP 4018 without the freezer in the basement. We are NOT full timers! I would advise against the pass through slide - it takes away some valuable storage space. If you want a slide in that compartment, install one on each side. The driver's side is seriously height restricted because of the STAR chassis. The passenger side has a little more headroom but not much more.
It is shocking how little space is left in the basement of a 41 ft motorhome! Oasis, Power Cord, Wet Bay, House batteries, Chassis Batteries, DEF, Electric Bay, Water Tanks, they all get their own compartment PLUS you have the space limitations of the STAR Chassis.

Yeah thx - those were our thoughts too :-). Thank goodness I'm not a clothes or shoe addict! I know we can have "enough" with us to enjoy the FT lifestyle. So glad we've spent much of the past 1.5 yrs in our 24' unit - really highlights how little you NEED.
We're planning on aiming for maximum organization and efficiency :-)
Thx

Stripe34,
I ended up calling my dealer for the dimensions (he is 4 hours up the road from us). He had a similar model on his lot, so he just measured the bay's and emailed me the dimensions. As someone else said, you could contact Newmar CS. Keep in mind that you have chassis rails, and other things space absorbing items to consider in the bay's.
Congratulations on your new rig!
