2017 DSDP 4369 Body Panel Question

Need some help from other 17 DSDP owners. While traveling the super smooth I70 last month I noticed the driver side front wheel body panel flapping due to missing the bolt that attached the bottom of the panel to the chassis rail. Zip tied it up to keep it on place until I could get the right size self-tapping screw. When I took one off the same panel on the passenger side I discovered that panel was secured by two self-tapping screws as opposed to just one on the driver side.
If any 2017 4369 owners are near your coach right now can you please check to see if you have one or two self-tapping screws securing the bottom of the body panel to the rail. I’ve written to Newmar but haven’t heard anything back.

I have one self tapping screw on drivers side as well as passenger side on my 2015 where you are showing in your pictures. They are all along the coach in other areas. If one backs out I wouldn't be replacing with another self tapper I would choose a screw & maybe a lock nut. Otherwise I suspect you'll be dealing with it another day down the road.

Just did the bolt and locknut on the side radiator cover to replace a self tapping screw (another victim of I70). Put some blue Loctite on the replacement for the fender panel as I couldn’t feel a hole on top of the channel for the bolt to go through. When I get back from our SoCal trip next week I plan on getting underneath and checking all screws and seeing if I can replace them with a bolt/locknut.
Thanks for replying.

Wash crew told me of a loose self tapping bolt on my panel just forward of drive axle on drivers side. I put a star lock washer on it. So far it’s held ok.

Mine only had one as well. I had the same problem as you did two weeks ago. Had to wire it in place. Later, I installed a rivet in the hole and then drilled a second for another rivet.

Just had it confirmed. There should have been two self tapping screws securing the rear portion of the body panel to the frame rail.

I had the same problem. Added an additional self tapper and problem solved.
