2017 Dutch Star - front overhead TV ?
The new 2017 4369 DS now has a TV that comes up behind the sofa. With that & only being 2 of us that will watch that TV from the recliners we are getting on the opposite side....
Do we really need the front overhead TV?
Being our first coach, just wanted to get some feedback from those of you that have the TV that comes up behind the sofa if the overhead TV is necessary.

We have a 2014 Dutch Star that came with 4 TVs. The one over the windshield is superfluous. We rarely have it on.

Front TV is never used
Our 2015 DS 4369 came with 4 TVs. The televator is the one we use in the living room. We never use the one above the windshield. I think it would look nicer not to have that front TV, too. If I were ordering one, I would definitely get the cabinet there instead.

We just purchased a2017 DS 4369. Superfluous is a good word for the above dash TV. Going to have it removed soon. 3 is enough. Can use more storage space.

We use the overhead one when someone wants to lay on the coach and watch tv. I use it while I'm doing bookwork in my workstation by the fridge. Not a necessity by any means, but we do use it.

So the reason I asked the question is because we have a 2017 4369DS on order & we do have this TV on the order but we are leaning heavily on taking it off the order.
Our coach is not going into production until March (by choice) so I still have time to make changes.

We would not have ordered the TV over the dash but it was on the coach we purchased. We have it on from time to time and now I kind of like having it. Besides if you don't order it I wouldn't think the cabinet in its place wouldn't be deep enough to be very usable either.

We took it off our order. Good multi shelf cabinet is put in its place by default.

Cabinet does hold enough to be useful to us...

We use the front TV more than we thought. Part of that is due to the layout of our coach because you can't see the televator TV from our dining room table. We tend to use the front TV in the morning for news while we're moving around, and also when we're busy or getting the coach ready to go.

what happens in a crash?
So I know a lot of folks don't like the RV Consumer Group. But they do seemed to be concerned about safety and they make a point of "do you really want a big TV over your head if there is, God forbid, a front end accident?

We are also going with the recliners & I assume you have the 72" sofa in front of the televator.
I am 5'7" (so not that tall) - can you lay on the sofa & watch the front overhead TV or would that not work.
