2017 Dutch Star Rear Tail Light Marker Light Replacement

Can anyone advise what the trick is to simply removing the taillight marker light from the rear light assembly? All other 3 (brake, running and backup/reverse) are easily accessible, but the small marker light located on the outer bottom of each rear taillight assembly will rotate to be removed from the socket, but there’s seemingly inadequate clearance for the bulb assembly to completely clear the inner portion of the tailgate assembly.

If the entire taillight has to be removed, it’s attached via two bolts along the inner vertical portion that are accessible, but there are 2 additional self tapping screws installed from within the assembly that thread into the inner portion of the fiberglass end cap that are seemingly not accessible.

Any advice/tips greatly appreciated.

There are 2 bolts on the sides that need to be removed with a gear wrench, socket or drill with a 90* adapter and the correct socket. You will then pull the tail light assembly out of the tabs and make your repairs.

Removing the aforementioned 2 bolts located on the inner vertical portion of the tail light assembly did allow removal of the taillight to then provide adequate access to the lower marker light socket. Bulb replacement accomplished with no issues (replaced with #194 LED bulbs).

Bobby,

I have a similar coach and am curious what is a "gear wrench"
