2017 Ventana Le 4037 leveling jacks when in storage.
2017 Ventana Le 4037 leveling jacks when in storage.
This coach is new to me.
I store the coach in a climate control garage with jacks fully retracted.
After several days I notice upon start up the jack alarm is warning that the jacks need to be retracted which they are partially extended about 6 inches.
I retract the jacks then back the coach out of the garage.
Is this normal? If not what is causing this?

Mine does this also if it has been sitting for a while. I have got in the habit of hitting the jacks up button prior to starting up the engine. I have not checked to see if they are down or not.

I’ve not experienced that phenomenon. So, from my prospective, that is not normal.

Robert --
I have a similar issue with my "new to me" 2016 Newmar Ventana LE. When I went to take it for a 30 minute ride this past weekend, I noticed my leveling jacks had extended 2-3 inches "on their own". Like reubenray I pushed the extend jacks button and the jacks properly retracted. My Ventana had been in storage for ~30 days since it was last driven. The jacks were fully retracted when I parked the Ventana 30 days ago. Thinking there might be a hydraulic fluid leak that could can the jacks to slowly extend, I looked as best I could around each jack, pump and reservoir and found no leaks.
Three of us having this "problem" of jacks extending on their own means it's not an isolated problem.

My jacks are electric not hydraulic.

I am real confident that the jacks on my coach are electro-hydraulic. Meaning that an electric motor drives a hydraulic pump that in turn drives the ram jacks up or down (no springs) according to the solenoid valves that are commanded by the keypad controller.
A drifting ram while in storage sounds like a leaking control valve. It could be some debris on the seat of the valve or a faulty solenoid, or of course something else. You might try changing the fluid.
If it does not drift down during travel, I would not be concerned about it, bbut that's me.
