2017 Ventana Le 4037 pilot seat shade.

Pilot seat shade barely will roll back up. The spring needs to be rewound. I having trouble removing the shade to reset the spring. Do I have the remove the valance? Can the spring be rewound without removing the shade?

You dont need to remove the valence. Pulling the shade out is actually pretty easy, at least on my '16 VLDP.

On mine there are 3 simple clips that screw to the valence that the shade carrier snaps into. The clips have tabs that you can press to have them let go of the share carrier. Just be prepared as they shades are a bit heavier than you might expect.

I believe the Ventanas come with the Auto Motion Shades. They should be just like the MCD Shades when it comes to adjustment. To adjust the roller speed and how far they roll up or down, there is a wheel on both sides of the night shade and day shade. Take a look at their web page for adjusting.

Lastly, if you need to remove them, they're held in by clips at the top. The clip has a rounded front edge that you push on with your finger or better yet, something like a 3/8" wooden dowel, as it's hard to do for most with a finger.

This is the clip at the top of the shades. It's upside down, but the rounded part on the left is where you push top release the shade.
