2017 Ventana Owners

I've been trying to hook up an air hose to the system on my 3709 Ventana. I'm using a standard 1/4 Male trying to insert to female under front cowl. It does not want to couple. As hard as I push even with pulling the collar back still won't engage. Has anyone else had this problem? if yours worked, what size coupler are you using? or is their something special I'm not doig?
Looking forward to answers.

There are different types...

Automotive, Industrial, and even some designed to work with both.

I am pretty sure mine is industrial "type D"
