2018 43 foot Dutch Star owners
I have had all of my bay lights stay on even with the doors closed.
if you wouldn’t mind doing the following test;
1)Make sure the pass armrest switch for the cargo lights is on
2) go outside and open one of the pass side bay doors
3)if the lights are on, push in the plunger switch (located at the top corner of the cargo bay door opening) and see if the lights go off and on by pushing and releasing the plunger.
If they go on and off your good.
If your lights stay on I believe I have some valuable information as to what’s wrong.
Thank you all for your participation
Stuart

Stuart W, don't keep us in suspense, what's the secret you have found if not working correctly, so they can fix it while testing.

I have a different model and year but have been trying for a while to get the cargo lights off. No matter what I try they stay on all the time.

My bay lights only go off if I turn the inside armrest switch off. They don’t go off with the door button.

Bill if you can, unplug the plunger switch in the drivers side front electric compartment then open another door and try again.

The plunger switch in the driver electric compartment doesn’t operate a light, just the bay open alarm right?

Yes, but that light is manual, not operated by that punger switch.
Should it be?

The plunger is lights only. What I found is there is a relay behind the peg board that on mine went bad causing the lights to stay on, what I did was unplugged all of the compartment plungers. Light was still on. Traced it to the relay, replaced relay then all works if I don’t plug in the front compartment plunger.

I’m working on why the front needs to be unplugged and I believe it cause the relay to burn out
