2018 Ds Washer and Dryer

As we anxiously await the delivery of our new DS, my beautiful wife (BW) has asked me if I know anything about the particulars on the operation of the washing machine and dryer, our previous coaches were not equipped. My answer to her was noI don't, but I know where to find out
Any information would be greatly appreciated
Thanks, Stuart

Easy enough to get the model numbers from Newmars website...and download the manuals.

I must have downloaded and read most every manual for our coach before Customer Pick-up.

It becomes a very handy reference to have if you download pdf's to a tablet or iPAD. I have collected just about every component with a user or installation manual.

That was the first place I looked, unfortunately they do not list specific model numbers, and I believe the 2018 washer has been changed.

What do you need to know? Throw the dirty stuff in, push the button and it washes. Take that out, throw it in the dryer, it comes out warm. Finished business! Usually do it on a low grey tank or leave the grey valve open. And you don't need coins!

DW uses 1/4 cup of Tide he powder, about half as much as a regular washer.
Gets all the cookie crumbs off my T shirt.

Be careful on the amount of soap. Years ago we put too much liquid soap in and had soap foam coming out of the exterior vent. The combo models use very little soap.

Not as much the amount as the type. It requires "he" high efficiency soap. Much less sudsing.
But I'm sure Stewart knows that.

I would use liquid soap, other soap may build up in hosing over the years.
You can get your Owners Guide in the TSB LINK top of forum for your 2018 now, just follow the directions.

Front loader washer tips

We have the Whirlpool Front Loader Automatic Washer (model WFC7500VW 2).

We use the liquid HE soap.

We also dry the door after each load and leave the door open to allow all the seals to dry. You can also dry out any standing water at the bottom of the seals around the opening. After running a load, look around the seals along the bottom and notice where water remains. We use a microfiber towel to soak up the excess water.

Doing these two things will help prevent mildew from forming on the seals and door. This is similar to what we did with the front loader we had in our sticks and bricks house.

We also use the "extended spin" setting on the washer and it seems to reduce the drying time. It only adds 1 minute to the wash cycle.

The washer: WFW3090GW :: Whirlpool 1.9 Cu Ft Capacity 24" Front Loading Washer w/Detergent Dosing Aid Option :: 138231

The dryer: LDR3822PQ :: Whirlpool 3.4 Cu Ft Capacity Compact Electric Dryer w/AccuDry Drying SystemCap :: 83706

Note: The washer only has a cold intake valve. It heats the water depending on the cycle.
