2018 Dutch Star DP 4327 K2

We pick up our new 4327 on Friday. We were suppose to get it on Sept 23 but I ended up in the hospital while on vacation in Boston. We are looking forward to living in this floor plan. My wife loves all the cabinets in the kitchen and 1/2 bath.
We do like our American Eagle. We will be giving up a few things but think they are things we can live without.

Good choice on the floor plan and the toad! Welcome to the club! The Eagle didn’t have comfort drive, and you will absolutely love that day 1.

Picking up my 4327 Saturday. Was at the factory last month watching it being built. Great experience. Planning to go full time early next year as a solo. Debated between the angled kitchen and larger half bath in the 4327 or the larger shower in the 4369. The kitchen won out. The smaller shower at 40" is still plenty big for a comfortable shower. Hope you guys enjoy yours.

I had the same quandary. I actually had the 4369 on order then called to change to the 4327. I absolutely don't regret it. The larger half bath is great, the angled kitchen makes it so much easier for the DW to use the cupboards and the shower is perfect. I had the rounded one in the 4018 and that was a bit tight, but this one is great. I think the extra space in the larger 4369 sized shower might not be any better.
Congratulations!

Curious about how many of us 4327ers are out there. Think I'll ask the dealer on Saturday if he can pull up Newmar's sales numbers. We need to start a separate club.

Curious, did you get the Freightliner or Spartan?

Spartan. Based the decision on what I read on the forums. Never have driven either one. It's my first DP. How do you like the K2?

I like it a lot. Not sure if the larger tires up front account for the difference, but it is definitely a smoother ride. Not as happy with backing up though. Still looking into that. I think the FL auto dumped the tag and maybe I'm supposed to do that manually with the Spartan? I'm quite sure I had the tag dump switch to auto...

Just spoke with Spartan, now that you made me think of it, and the tag locks into a straight axle and dumps the air when you put it into reverse, regardless of what position the tag dump switch is. Different than Freightliner. :(

Got an email from my contact at Spartan and he said the Spartan and Freightliner backup operations are the same. I'm going to take a video tomorrow.

You 4327 owners let me know how you like the dometic toilet in the half bath. It is absolutely a water saver, but I just am not thrilled with the foot pedal flush. They will replace it with a macerator if I want but I’m looking into other nicer looking options.

FWIW - my "non pedal" master flush 8700 - aka macerator, clogged up twice in the past three days. Nothing unusual in it. Unclogging it is still an unknown as to proper procedure but I can tell you I'm glad to have the gravity toilet in the half bath. Finding the procedure to unclog the macerator is still an unknown. I had Dometic come out yesterday, they aren't equipped to do anything here in Sedalia sadly and neither of the two guys that came out could tell me the procedure to unclog (has something to do with disconnect power, which I did but getting the valve open to plunge is not known). They gave me the number to call if it happens again, the macerator is not supposed to clog! If it happens again it will have to wait until my next visit to Newmar.

Long story longer, be careful what you wish for, that gravity toilet may actually be a gem in disguise.
