2018 Mountain Aire 4047

Anyone have a 2018 Mountain Aire 4047 or has seen one in person? I was wondering if the exterior storage is as small as it looks in pictures? Is it enough for a fulltime unit?

Was looking at the New Aire but I think it is under powered but exterior storage looks to be more.

Appreciate any help.

I haven’t really looked into this but how would you be able to get more into a 33 foot chassis than a 40 footer?

As to your other question, many people full time in every size coach you can imagine, so that’s pretty much a decision you have to make. There’s absolutely no question that the more space you have the more useless junk you’ll pile into it.

I believe most Newmars these days have lower compartments full sized and able to accommodate slide trays also.
You can get all brochures and owners guides for 2018 in the TSB Link top of forum, just follow directions.
Good luck in your quest.

I saw one a Midway RV a few weeks ago. I thought it had plenty of storage but then I'm not a full-timer. I will say it totally ruined me. A classy looking coach with great amenities and a great size to boot. Oh well, one can dream...

Actually, my 36' Monaco Diplomat had as much or more storage than my 40' Dutch Star. The reason being.....the tag axle. You lose a fair amount of space with a tag. I'm guessing the Mountain Aire 4047 has the same storage space as a 40' Dutch Star.

I agree with Don, should be very close, the 43 footers have one more pass through compartment even though they have a fuel tank with 50 gallons more capacity.

Hi - One advantage the MountainAire has over the Dutch Star is more height in the storage bays. The K3 gives more room in that regard.

Here at the rally in Sedalia they have both a 4047 and a New Aire on display. The 4047 has about same basement storage as our 4018 DSDP. But coach has a few more cabinets.

New Aire has less all around.
