2018 Slide operations

When I picked up the 2017 4018 at the factory I was instructed to always be aired up for slides in or out. Just curious to those who have picked up a 2018, especially factory pickup, is it still air up first for all operations? I'll get my instructions in a few days, I just want to weigh them with the factory guidance.
Thanks
Bill

Did they tell you jacks up before slides in?

Jacks didn't matter. Air up slides out, air up slides in. The slides were adjusted with the coach aired up. Factory pickup building 17, Doug instructions.

So don't pull into a CG and put the jacks down first, you'll be waiting to air up again before the slides go out. Don't ask how I know.

How things changed from late 2015 when I picked it up. Thanks!

To be honest I don't think it makes a bit of difference as long as you're level. I just did what they told me as a CYA for any warranty issues. They might have had me on CG video surveillance.

They originally told me jacks down then slides out then in June in Nappanee (for slide issues) they told me on the wheels but not aired up. I've cycled them hundreds of times both ways and I agree with you, it really doesn't matter. The slide issue was sagging and needed supports so unrelated to position on open or close.

My guess is that since nothing has changed in the slide design, then procedure should remain the same as well. Just checking...

Sometimes the verbal instruction you receive varies by who you are told by. I have been told conflicting things by Newmar's people in the past. Each is trying to give you informative direction and believes it is the correct. It is just that each has his own opinion.

However, don't take my word and ignore any direction you are given. It is up to you as to how you interpret the information. In many cases it probably won't hurt to do it their way, it just may not be necessary.

Just my 2 nickle's worth (Canada has no pennies anymore)
