Does anyone know if this is a 2019 Ventana issue also. I notice a little purposing but having never driven a DP I don't know what is considered normal

I had the same problem. Had it weighed and ride hight checked at the Newmar factory. Called Spartan and the have a replacement shock available. Covered it under warranty (TSB 18-250-003). Works great now. hope that helps

When did you have this done? Within the 1st year?
I haven't noticed the issue in my coach but I have had it less than 1000 miles to me. I do have the active air which may mask the problem somewhat. Probably should think about getting the newer shocks. I checked today and what I have is the older problematic Bilstein shocks.

i had to argue with them, but finally got it done in SEPT 2018...was like a whole new front end....the porpoising could get pretty bad at times, after going over an uneven overpass.....
that's when it found it the worst...and on the jersey turnpike, where the road surface can be scalloped....
i would definitely get it done.....

As mentioned previously, a really good option is to just upgrade to some Evo shocks and be done with the bilsteins. They are a fantastic upgrade even over the newer model Bilstein shocks. Just my .02 after 12k miles on the coach!

Spartan replaced my front shocks
We have a 2018 4052 DS. We did the Spartan chassis training last August. They seemed aware of the bounciness of the original shocks. They adjusted the ride height and replaced the front shocks with updated valving. No charge. No fuss, no muss. And a significant difference in the ride.

Just wanted to let those of you who are interested know. I had the replacement shocks installed about two weeks ago. Had the Koni EVO’s installed today. The improvement is very noticeable. The model number for the Koni shocks is : 99B-3234.

Dwayne, I have a slightly different front end on my 2008 MADP with the K2 chassis (IFS 1660). Spartan is recommending the older Bilstein (556-SS5-001) not the 562-SS5-001.
Their Koni recommendation is the same (99B-3234) at $190 each but also with an adapter for $90 each. How did you get the Koni recommendation? Did it need an adapter?
Also, where did you get the Shocks?
Sorry I'm so confused, but that's just the way is.
Tom

Mine did not require the adapter. Got them from Ultra RV Products.

Spend the money and get the evos and adapters if needed. You can always return if you don’t need but be sure to ask about returns.
No question about it. Get the evos! I wish I had a side by side comparison showing the size difference. It’s a much beefier shock and rides really well.

My 2019 DS 4018, K2 had the old Bilstein shocks on it. They were replaced today under Spartan warranty (shocks and labor). Much improved ride. Didn't experience any porpoising.
