2019 Bay Star AudioVisual Heat

We were parked last weekend with the windshield facing the hot western sun, shade all the way down and air conditioning running just fine. The interior temperature was fine considering it was just under 100 degrees outside. I opened the door to the cabinet holding the different audio visual components along with the Ranger Wifi and found them all extremely hot to the touch. I ended up placing a small battery powered fan on them which circulated the cool air around them and cooled them down significantly. I am thinking that a MagneShade would help keep the heat out of the cabinet but I am still concerned. Anyone else notice this?

While my AV components are not located in that front cabinet area (I can see how this would be concerning), we certainly did notice the heat up front coming off the back of that windshield shade (or even the large back window on our model when the sun is back there). I was reading temps of 140f using a thermo gun pointed at the shade. Even with 2 AC's running, it was not comfortable sitting up front in the cockpit area.

Did the MagnaShade thing and feel it is worth it IMO. Granted, not cheap but it lowers the temp on the back of the shade around 40f (for us in my tests). AC does not have to work as hard and it is way more comfortable up front in the cockpit or back in the bedroom (in our case) where there are virtually no windows or vents to open.

We had them on our previous rig and I am a believer in them. We plan on ordering one for this one. Thanks.
