2019 DS Video Distribution

I have a couple of questions about the video distribution on a 19 DS 4018 with the Excite radio and nav

1. Is there a wiring schematic of the distribution along with make and model of the Cat 6 HDMI adaption system

2. Is there a way to get the nav screen onto the front tv for the copilot to view while driving

3. Where is the video distribution main unit located

I am attempting to figure out what they did before I add my Hopper 3 and Joeys.

Thanx

I don't know if this helps. Here is the back side of the Xcite radio with a list of all the connections. I don't see a video out.

On my 2019 DS 4018, all of the HDMI connections are on the front wall of the pass thru bay on the driver's side. The SWM wiring for the Winegard Travler antenna is on the frame rail, passenger side of the 3/4 bay (Oasis bay).

I think this was what you were asking about.

Thanx for that Don. I was trying to get the nav onto the overhead TV so the copilot could see it. I saw it on a brand X model and thought it would be handy since the nav screen is hard to see from the passenger seat. I was also trying to change the sat input to the front TV to use a different source. I may just use the DVD input since we rarely, if ever use that.

Do you know how to gain access to the front TV HDMI connections ?

Thanx

The Xcite does have an AUX out. It is Composite video and audio (Red,White,Yellow) which should work good for Nav. Now how to access TV.

I responded to your other post. If you can use the video out, it would be a simple, up the "A" pillar install, into the back of the TV.

2019 DS Video Distribution

I have the Xite radio and 360 cam system on my 2018 DS and did hook it up to the overhead tv. Result was poor, the low definition output only gets exponentially worse as the size of the screen increases, I removed my temporary wire and never bothered with it again.

Wood vents on back of tv are siliconed on with a pin nail or two at the top of the vent. A plastic pry tool works well, just take your time.

Also you will need to locate the video adapter it looks it has a 3.5mm plug on one end and RCA plugs on the other

I finally found the Cat 6 video distribution. There are two 4x1 Cat 6 to HDMI units on the inside wall behind the waste basket under the sink.

One has the HDMI input from the Satellite and the other comes from the DVD player. Both in the media cabinet. Then the Cat 6 wires go to each TV.

Not sure where the 4th wire goes from the DVD as the bedroom has it's own DVD player.
