2019 Dutch Star 4018 Dash A/C

Need advice.
Seems after a 2 hour trip of so, the dash AC starts blowing warm . Example, 2 weeks ago traveling about 100 miles to Disney's Ft Wilderness from Tampa, the AC discharge measured 85 degrees, outside temp was 80 degrees.

Checked that the ac was on, set to coldest temp and recirc. button was on.

Dealer previously checked and ran AC for 2 hours at idle and could not duplicate the problem. Is there a heater valve that is possibly bad?

Still under warranty until February.
Thanks

PDM may be the issue. There is a current recall and that recall had been expanded. One of the first indicators of a failed PDM is problems with the dash a/c.

Had same issue it was resolved by the PDM which was replaced due to recall. I previously posted this not only resolved my rear light issue but also (surprisingly) my A/C working intermittently

It was the PDM on our 2019 Dutchstar. Could affect your taillights also.

I was also hoping it was the PDM on mine, but it wasn't. The A/C would start out very cold and after a while (coupe hours) it would start blowing warm. The problem....the cold switch under the front hood, which senses the temp inside the evaporator box (black box passenger side) is incorrectly telling the A/C that the system is freezing up.

The switch is about the size of a small box of wooden matches and is mounted on the inward side of the evaporator box, above the generator. It has a small metal tube that comes out the top, goes up and inserts inside the black box at the top.

Since its a switch, you can remove the two wires and jump them together. I did this for an entire three week trip, but kept a pencil thermometer in the center dash duct to keep the A/C at about 37-40 by adjusting the center A/C temp control.

Finding the correct switch, which there are different styles, is a pain, so I just ordered it from Newmar. I think it was about $30.00.

Is your coach Spartan or Freightliner? I had the same problem as you on my Spartan chassis. I called them and they fixed my problem under warranty. Was a leak in the refrigeration system.

Look under the hood and make sure it is not icing up. I had the same symptoms and it was a bad de-icing element.
