Has anyone found replacement knobs for the cockpit HVAC controls in which the light illuminates the knob. Our fan control knob broke (no idea why, rarely used) and the only replacements I can find on amazon the light does not illuminate the indicator.

Newmar has them $30.00 each (another Newmar ripoff). Comfort Air sells them for $12.50 each but their charge is $20.00 (UPS only, they wouldn't just drop it in the mail) making the cost higher than the Newmar rip-off.

The knob is an Evans Tempcon RV219511 and I have not been able to find a source elsewhere or a suitable replacement.

I can check with our parts department in the morning and see what our price is for the knob.

I always use Newmar for parts that I cannot quickly find via online searches. They are not a rip off if you have to spend 2 or 3 days searching and asking others. IMO

Thanks for all the replies. I was hoping someone in a similar situation had found a set for a complete switch-over of all three knobs

Due diligence shopping is just my MO, perhaps not for some. I grew up with little change in my pocket and still tend to exhibit those tendencies at 68. I have the time to do a little shopping and just have an issue paying $30.00 for a $6.00 injection molded plastic knob.

I suspect most know what unhelpful opinions are similar to.

I hate to give in, but with supply issues and the difficulty getting parts, sometimes it's just the best bet to grab one while they're still available.

If you're near a RV salvage place, check with them. I have gotten stuff from Colaws like that relatively cheap. I am in their area a few times a year and will stop for any non pressing items. I call a day or two ahead and have had the guy say, "we've got a ---- in the yard. Let go see if it has that part" when looking for knobs, handles, or other smaller stuff. They're just of I -44 in Carthage, Mo.
