2019 Dutchstar Full wall slide dilemma
2019 Dutchstar 4369.
Full wall slide
The front cylinder closest to the driver does not operate.
The rear cylinder is working.
Of course cannot use the slide as it binds.
HWH will call back one of these days, maybe.
Thought someone here maybe had a suggestion.
Oil level good
Jacks work fine
F11 fuse fine.
Is there a fuse next to the pump for each cylinder?

in bay 3 or 4 on the passenger side is the sync cylinder. On the rear are 2 hydraulic solenoids. There are 2 white flip levers, flip those and then put back in the original position. Then try to run the room. They should both be straight out for normal operation.

I have had success getting a hold of HWH on the phone and they gave me a contact for a competent local HWH tech who could work on it. Binding will cause a very jerky movement of the slide from end to end, but the slide will still move. It sounds like your front cylinder is not moving at all. There can be a considerable amount of diagnostics to find the root of the problem. Good luck at Newmar.

You are quite aways from Newmar in Nappanee, Indiana. I would think your trip to Florida is salvageable by finding a recommended Newmar dealer or NWH repair on or near your route to Florida. Actually, NIRVC in Atlanta comes to mind. Call them and see if they can accommodate your schedule.

NIRVC in Nashville says bring it and leave it and they will try to get to it as soon as possible.

Just had the exact some symptoms and had it fixed at Midway in Grand Rapids. They swapped hydraulic lines and no better so that eliminated the sync cylinder. It was the front cylinder and it was jammed. Since the slide was in they had to cut out the cylinder. Replaced with new then synced and all is well.
$700 front cylinder and 7 hrs of labour.

I had the same failure a year ago on my HWH slideout and it was also a jammed front cylinder. $4,500 and 2 1/2 months later we got the coach back. No further issues.

You mentioned you have a jammed front cylinder. Is it actually jammed or just leaking internally and thereby not functioning? I would suspect more of an internal seal failure and not an actual "jammed" cylinder. I have already had too many failures of seals that HWH uses in our hydraulics-they must use some cheap imported seals and/or have the worst assembly ever. Fitting leaks are one thing but seal failure is no bueno.

.
How do you tell the difference from leaking or jammed? Mon mine the back moved and the front did not move any. I would think if leaking the front would have moved somewhat but what do I know.

I have no idea either. What I was getting at is that I think HWH uses a lot of junk in their products. I have had many issues and know a lot of owners who have had many issues with their products. These issue have caused thousands of dollars in damage and caused owners to spend countless days getting their rigs diagnosed and repaired. My biggest fear when I get ready to leave a campsite is will the FWS come back in properly. I know that electric slides have issues as well, but they are much easier to operate manually and as cool as the whole level floor thing is, it just might be adding more complexity than it's worth. Even the super high end bus conversions have not attempted this as far as I am aware.
