2020 Dutchstar Alignment

Last fall i purchased a 2020 Dutchstar 4081, I am going to Colton RV and truck terminal next week to have a small warranty item fixed on engine, My question is that this service facility specializes in alignment of motorhomes amongst other services, should i have them check alignment on my coach (5000) miles on it ? I have heard that factory does not do that great of job of alignment.

I would. I bought my DS used with 25k on the odometer I member thinking the front tire wear looked a little off but forgot about it. At 50k I again noticed odd tire wear and had it checked. They told me it was WAY out of alignment and I am convinced it rolled off the factory that way

If they can fit it in, I would. Also have the ride height checked.

I'm looking to have mine aligned in Oregon this May.

I had mine aligned at six months. They found the tag and steering were off.

No, if it does not pull and you are not showing any signs of unusual tire wear leave it alone.

I would have the ride height checked and the coach weighed.

Took delivery of our 2020 Dutch Star 4081 on October 18, 2019, loaded it. Coach wandered a bit and steering wheel was not straight, called Newmar, they authorized and payed for a front end alignment on October 22, 2019. Shop did three axle alignment, said it was off, but not too much. Steering wheel straightened, did improve, but still wandered. NIRVC called Spartan, steering gearbox out of spec for play, Spartan sent new gearbox, NIRVC replaced, no more steering play. Tracks straight, steers great, rides great! Newmar told me they will pay for one alignment after delivery. Do not know how long after delivery, ours was four days later. I would recommend a front end alignment, if you are paying for it, it can be pricey.

Absolutely. Worth not wearing out expensive tires and ride control/quality. You can also have it done nearby in Redlands at Redlands Truck and RV. Plenty of brand new rigs having it done there.

Just had my Monaco alignment adjusted because of new tires. Mentioned my next RV. He recommended checking the alignment after 2K to 5K miles. It looks like to perfect time to make it right.

I did not have alignment checked and tires are wearing even @ nearly 20K miles. I did have the ride height checked at 5 months and 6K miles which was off and corrected. Newmar handled as a warranty item.

Get it checked. Small money spent for a good saving over time.
Had our's checked after a sever bump in Nova Scotia. Bent front axle.
Fixed, good to go.
Regards,
JimB

4 corner weights, ride height adjust, alignment. Had this done to our 2011 phaeton a couple years ago. Definite improvement. Ymmv.
