Waiting delivery on ours in late May. Been running around Mexico during the winter by car doing airbnb. About a 5 1/2 month wait between ordering and delivery.

That seems more on line with what FPU timeframe should be than the 5/3 date you posted before.
2/24-5/3 seemed excessive.

It was excessive, all caused by our salesperson not telling Newmar from the day we ordered it we wanted CPU. Salesperson is now looking for new line of work.
Long story short, our factory sales rep, Greg Spain, along with Phil Stilley and Natalie Miller patiently found a way to get us an opening to help compensate for the mistake. They have a standby list just in case there's a cancellation. Sometimes it works out. We were fortunate.
Have to say, so far, we're impressed with Newmar and their good people.
