So the ‘21 specs are up on Mewmars website. Listed are Spartan Chassis options for the New Aires and also the Ventana 34 and 37 series floor plans. But no Spartan Chassis option for the 37 series floor plans on the Dutch Star.
Anyone have inside or other info on whether or not the DS 37’s will have a Spartan option?

According to their DS brochure, the 37’ DSs have only a FL chassis available.

The updated website is either not yet complete or they’ve omitted a lot of content previously available. Once the option selection page is available in the “build your own” section you may see it listed.

Since the ISL is available on the 35’ Spartan New Aire chassis, and other manufacturer’s 37’ coaches, there’s no reason to omit the Spartan option from 37’ DS models.

and is it just me or do those front axle capacities look a little light on a full tile luxury DP? I mean the 37' specifically. The 40' has way more front capacity yet the plans (batteries, inside etc) are the same. Granted there is 50gallons more fuel onboard but still.....

I didn’t study the DS for ‘21 but I noticed that in the 43’ Ventanas the Spartans have a few hundred lb higher front axle limit than the Freightliners.

I’m years away from replacing my ‘19 so I didn’t study which lengths and by how much for each. But for those trying to decide if they should pay more for the Spartan this is maybe another difference to look into (if not an early info typo error on the Newmar website).

Axle weights are specified by Newmar.

But is it possible to order larger/heavier front axles? IE the 37 have 16K but the 40 have 17 and 43 have 19. All the same tires (I believe). Less wheel cut though, maybe that's why Newmar did it?

Yes, they order based on engineering specs. The point is spartan is not designed for a heavier load than freightliner on the same model/Floorplan.

That’s not how I read the Newmar site today. It looks to me like Newmar spec’d 1k higher front axle limits for the Spartans and that is allowing ~1k higher NCC as well.

I looked at the 4369 DS on both chassis. 20k Spartan front axle but 19k Freightliner.

If that's accurate, then it would be a reason to order spartan. They have been known to have documentation errors, so i would want to get real world weights.
