Earlier in this thread (post numbers 32 through 37) there was a brief discussion about a new Reyco Granning nitrogen strut steer axle. For anyone who may be interested, some additional information on that axle is now available and being discussed here:

IMHO, Bang for the bucks it beats the King Aire.

A Prevost is not for everyone. Keep in mind that a Prevost is a DOT certified monocoque chassis with real front and rear bumpers. Safety is important even if the decoration is not exactly perfect.
I do want to mention that the 500hp Volvo is quite Robust with 1,750 lb. ft. of torque. At 55,500 lbs., I move along quite nicely, no complaints.
Safe travels,
Mark

For $385k I got a like new 06 Marathon. I also don’t like a lot of Prevost interiors as they tend to be Liberace. The interior sold me and the overall build and ride quality have me smiling 2 years later.

I agree. My husband and I were thinking the same. I love the new King Aire; however, until Newmarket can show me that the slide issues are fixed, no way will I consider a purchase.

Thought I would mention that while at service a couple of weeks ago a tech was looking over a 2021 King Aire and said all King Aire coaches are sent over to service for a complete PDI prior to sending to the dealer. I responded that I wish my Essex had been done by them. It now has been at Jay's paint shop a total 0f 13 days fixing poor production paint workmanship.

While the King Aire, Foretravel and Newell are way out of my price point, there is no way a King Aire should be compared to any of the top three. Yes, King Aires are beautiful and I would love to own one but it's still a production RV by a corporate company (Winnebago) and not on par other than price with Foretravel and the only comparison to a Newell is that they are both RV's.
But yes, I would love an Essex or King aire by Newmar which is my top choice for a production rv company but my bank account will not allow it.

You are right on the mark Lenny. For the money of a King Air I can’t imagine folks that have interest in one not giving a Foretravel a good look. I had the opportunity to compare the two side by side at a small show in SW Florida last year. The Foretravel Realm was by far a higher quality unit.

My wife and I were camping in Colorado Springs a few years ago and they had a Foretravel rally at the resort we were at. Wow, just wow.
Newmar builds a great rig for sure but the components and the way the chassis is built on the Foretravel takes it t another level.
