2021 Newmar’s with Service Advance Traction Control System Warnings
In the Ford chassis forum, there is a message thread about a message that appears on the drivers display that says “Service AdvanceTrac” and a yellow warning light also comes on. Once initiated this shuts down cruise control, hill assist and likely other traction control systems. The engine’s computer takes this action if it thinks there are traction control system sensor errors. I have had the same issue (and I have a new 2021 Bay Star 3626). Another user who also has a 2021 Bay Star (different model) has had the same issues. And there is a third poster as well, who likewise has a 2021 Bay Star 3626. Looks like a pattern! With one of the owners, they found (after weeks with a Ford service center)a failed wire/wire harness that included the wire burning on the exhaust system. I wonder if this is a Newmar factory issue in terms of assembly or a Ford chassis issue? Any other Newmar owners with this issue? I haven’t been to a Ford service center with this. My Service AdvanceTrac issue appeared on the way home from having the coach over a week at Ford to check the rear axle fluid and to fix cracked front brake pads (with a coach that only has 2400 miles, of which the majority as the delivery driver).
