2022/ 2023 Bronco Raptor

Has anyone been able to get a tow bar and base plate for the new Bronco Raptor ? I’ve spoken to Blue Ox and they have not had one to modify and fabricate yet.

I tow a 21 Bronco. There are a couple of things you should be aware of. First it is overall a fantastic vehicle.

I run a Air Force One break system, w. Blue OX base plate and tow bar.

There is a known issue relative to the break booster that is not yet fixed and is a pain in the butt at the moment. Require fuse removal.

See my thread on Bronco 6. There are two TSB's the last of which promised a real fix in Dec 22, not done yet. Its a long read. Several of us have filed complaints with NTHSB.

I am not sure why the current base plate would not work but I have not looked that closely at the Raptor.

Looks like an opportunity to get a free base plate and tow bar to me. Let them use yours as the one to test fit for a free setup.

I live in Wyoming they are in Nebraska and want to keep it for a week and then wait 4-6 weeks for the finished product. I’m still working or would consider just don’t have the time.

Try Roadmaster and others. Personally I wouldn’t buy anything from Blue Ox anyway. Everything they build is under-built in my opinion. And they don’t support their products after a certain amount of time.

Ford has verified that it's towable four down? Looking at the various models, they show the Raptor with full time 4WD. I have the F-150 Raptor and no issues, but looking at the Bronco Raptor, I would want to see a Manual that shows "Recreational Towing".

Kind of interested in one myself.

Don - it’s a 2WD with options on 4WD according to the owners manual can be towed 4 down like the rest of the Bronco line. My issue is finding a baseplate that’s unique to the Raptor. It’s new in the market place and waiting on a donor vehicle for some of the manufacturers to do a fitment.

The Bronco Raptor probably has a similar bumper to the optional modular bumper available for all Broncos, which has shackle lugs and all the tow bar manufacturers make adapters to pin to those shackle lugs. Same as Jeep with aftermarket bumper and similar lugs. They are all a common size I can’t remember if it’s 3/4” or 1” ID hole
