2022 LA Stairs
Anytime our stairs get wet from either rain or even washing the coach, the stairs balk at deploying and stop a quarter way out.
Using the manual override will allow you to extend fully.
This has gone on since delivery and once they dry out, work perfectly!
Was on my last punch list at Lewisville and they were going to replace the sensor that stops the steps from continuing out into something or someone.
I was then told the current London Aire’s have a new type of sensor so the issue went unresolved.
Of course it had dried out and stairs started working working fine.
We’ve been in Alaska the last couple of months where rain is a common occurrence. It had been so long since the steps worked as they should, I had figured they were totally broken!
Two days of sunshine yesterday and today and yes, they work great again.
Anyone experienced this with a new LA and found the fix?
Thanks

Somethings never change. I have a 2017 LADP and had issues with the steps deploying when wet. I replaced both the curb sensor and the shin sensor a few years back and that solved the problems.

Check the ground wire. It has to be very tight.
Otherwise, all kinds of funny things happen

Ours have been going partway out and stopping for quite sometime
We don’t mind using the button as it helps prevent them from hitting something.
Also just had to repair some linkage on the side after some bolts came loose and fell out.
Had to make some access points to fix

Or just use a hose and get the steps wet. That’s when I first discovered it.

In the front bay on the passenger side is the controller for the steps, unplug and plug back in all the plugs. Just to make sure you don't have any issues there. The new step only uses the curb switch. I would get that replaced when you get a chance. That's the only thing outside that could cause that.
