I agree with this idea, but there is a caveat. You must have a great set up to get WiFi. Free internet really doesn't have enough bandwidth to work. I have a good set-up with a hotspot, but am patiently waiting for Starlink® to become available for RVs. Elon Musk says it is coming.

The solar system you design, build and put on this new rig has to meet your requirements.....but the first step is knowing what those requirements are. Being able to run at least one A/C all night and have some reserve power left over was what we were after. Ours became a 24v system because it's a pretty big system compared to most. Fine, it does what we need and does it well.

Matching the right amount of panel wattage to the appropriate battery bank capacity which will then power inverter/charger(s) is what you'll end up doing. Hopefully it all comes together correctly the first time.

There are shops close to the Newmar factory that can sell and install these systems. Some are "more reasonable" than others. We used Wellspring Components in Shipshewana, In. about 25 miles from the factory. We got a very reasonably priced Victron set up from them. I shopped around, a LOT. Second place was Discount Solar in Quartzite, Az.

Awesome, thanks. We just put the deposit down on our New Aire with NIRV and are now getting to real work figuring out the solar and cellular/WiFi. Lots to do, but a little celebration today first!

We have the solar on our 2018 3433 and love it! Can dry camp for a long time without starting generator. Not sure of cost as ours were on it when we ought.
