4" Square blank plates on roof
I have two 4" square blank plates on the roof. There is a solar panel on the roof already that I assume charges the chassis battery? Any Idea what the two plates are for? Any help would be appreciated. I do have the build sheets for the moho but nothing mentioned on there about any ready for items.

Steve, one plate should be for Satellite pre-wire and the other for a bigger solar panel. You are correct, the small solar panel is connected to the chassis battery.
The Satellite prewire is usually standard, the solar prewire was an option in our coach but in 2004 it may have been standard on your coach so it would not show up on the build sheet.

On my 97 Kountryaire the sat wiring was not compatible to the Dish system and new wiring had to be rerouted down from the Wineguard sat dish. Hopefully they have changed to a compatible wiring system

The sat prep wiring on my rig was of no use, but the plate did mark the location of the conduit from the electronics cabinet.

The Newmar coaches simply have a 1" (I think) conduit with a pull-wire and 12V power. This is how we wish every manufacturer handled this issue. With that conduit you can install any brand of satellite antenna. The other end of this conduit will be in the cabinet pre-wired for your satellite receiver and you will find a blank plate on the roof of this cabinet which is usually marked as satellite prep.
As noted, the other 4" plate is a similar setup for a larger solar array.

So the guy who installed the in-motion sat on the front of the MADP didn't need to run the cable though one of the roof light covers.

YIKES! I don't see how that would ever be a preferred installation location but, in short, no, he did not need to do that.

My 97 should be in Kountryaire did not have a plate just a sticker marking where to cut a hole in the roof with the sat cable coiled inside the roof. Problem was that the unusable cable is apparently fastened to the frame or is at least not moveable. IMO opinion ALL wiring should be in conduit
